SEARCH Student Project for UVM COM and Nurse Practitioner Students!
This
is a four week summer student health professions interdisciplinary
geriatric learning opportunity. Students will be connected with
two UVM COM affiliated Family Medicine Preceptors in Brattleboro
and Townshend who are practicing interdisciplinary care of frail,
isolated elders. Students will live in the region and acquire
skills and knowledge on the complexity and interdisciplinary
structure of elder care.
Students
will be introduced to the variety of environments in which Vermont
elders function – primary care practices, long term care, assisted
living centers, adult day, private homes, and hospitals. Final
