MedQuest

This is an opportunity for currently enrolled 9th, 10th and 11th grade students to explore health careers hands-on, spending six days immersed in a number of medical settings, and learning about a variety of health careers.

MedQuest Goals

  • Explore a variety of careers and opportunities in health care.
  • Provide an opportunity to shadow health care professionals in their work setting.
  • Increase awareness of personal interests, values and skills in relation to specific health careers.

Southern Vermont College

Bennington, VT

July 13-18, 2008 (Advanced MedQuest)

University of Vermont

Burlington, VT

(Applications were mailed to students January 2, 2008. Deadline is February 15, 2008)

August 3-8, 2008

College of St. Joseph

Rutland, VT

(Applications available February 1, 2008)

Admission Process

Students must submit a completed application form, a reference from one of their classroom teachers and participate in a group meeting to be held at your school. These components will be used to determine admission in MedQuest. There is no limit on the number of students who can apply from your school.

*Student Eligibilty: MedQuest if open to all VT residents, to students who live in neighboring states and attend a VT regional/technical center, or attend a public or private VT high school.
