and Dental Students

What SVAHEC Provides
For Your Rotation:


 

Before:

  • Assists in identifying practice and affilation sites
  • Arranges housing - contact Susan White for details
  • Sends information about the area and medical facility

During:

  • Travel Assistance- a gas card is available for each student. Please see your clerkship coordinator on campus for more information.
  • Assists with medical literature searches and provision of journal articles
  • Facilitates the use of telehealth technology to reduce travel and enhance learning
  • Seeks opportunities for interdisciplinary and community involvement experiences

 What you can expect:

  • A pleasant stay in the home of a local resident
  • An introduction to the beauty and sights of Southern Vermont
  • To learn about the medical needs of this mostly underserved area
  • Participate in community health experiences
